MATERIALISM CAN'T EXPLAIN LIFE - Darwin's purpose was to explain all of life without the need for a mind, or designer.  Darwinists define science with a commitment to materialism - the supposed spontaneous origination of living organisms from lifeless matter without any explanation of a mechanism - and do not address the question why life has the appearance of design. 

CHRISTIAN FREEDOM OF SPEECH BESIEGED - Recently, a reverend from an Oceanside church was criticized for expressing his God-given belief that homosexuality is wrong.  This is just one of many examples that the freedom of Christian speech is under siege. Not only is the freedom of speech threatened, the ultimate freedom - the freedom to believe and to act upon protected speech - is not safe from outside impingement. 

PARENT'S RIGHTS ERODED, TRIVIALIZED BY GAY ADVOCATES - Kimberly Bianco, KPRZ radio producer and mother of a 5-year-old boy is terrified at the prospect of her son entering kindergarten in a public school.  Kimberly was shocked after reading John Haskin's disturbing article at www.insightmag.com (Jan. 7, 2002 in Fair Comment) titled, "It's 1984 in Massachusetts - And Big Brother is Gay."  The article identifies Newton North High School's  required reading program that includes a controversial book, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," that promotes homosexual behavior for children. 

A NEW CHALLENGE TO DARWINISM - Biola University held a public forum on intelligent design theory on Dec. 1.  These scholars challenged materialism - the idea that life is the product of mindless natural forces - on scientific grounds.  Their scientific theories recognize the reality of design and the need for intelligent agency to explain it.  Design theory promises to revitalize many stagnant disciplines by recognizing mind as well as matter as a causal influence in the world.
